Cubus Solutions, a provider of powerful online banking solutions for credit unions, announced a partnership with Advanced Fraud Solutions (AFS) to integrate AFS’s TrueChecks® with Cubus One mobile RDC and small business Desktop Deposit solution. With this integration, credit unions members can now quickly snap a photo of their deposit check, and AFS will take that information and do a real-time fraud detection and account verification check against data from over 1500 financial institutions, processors, and third-party sources. TrueChecks® delivers responses on counterfeit, NSF, closed account, duplicate, and other fraudulent items.
The integrated solution between TrueChecks® and Cubus One gives our joint customers a powerful tool in the on-going fight against check fraud. By giving credit unions an automated way to prevent fraud on remote deposits, and do so instantly at the point of presentment, this product protects not only the CU but its members as well.
Josh Sheehan, Vice President of Sales, Advanced Fraud Solutions
“As credit unions offer more ways for members to deposit checks, we know that that the risk of check fraud increases,” said John-Ashley Paul, president of Cubus Solutions. “This partnership now allows Cubus One clients to take advantage of the latest functionality to meet this growing fraud threat. Partnering with AFS allows us to extend the value of our technology to prevent more high risk transactions.”
TrueChecks integration solves mobile RDC fraud
Catching fraud instantly can reduce potential losses significantly. TrueChecks® not only catches fraudulent activity, it assures members that are being scammed are also protected.
When the member deposits a check, the system will verify if it’s a duplicate check or if the payer has any bounce/NSF history. If any online verification request fails, the system will display an error message to the member. It will also display a reference number which the member needs to provide to credit union staff. Staff will review the details of the request and can either approve the verification or reject the deposit.
“The integrated solution between TrueChecks® and Cubus One gives our joint customers a powerful tool in the on-going fight against check fraud,” said Josh Sheehan, VP of Sales for AFS. “By giving credit unions an automated way to prevent fraud on remote deposits, and do so instantly at the point of presentment, this product protects not only the CU but its members as well.”
